Marc A. Richardson, M.D. is the newest member of our practice, having recently completed his residency training in ophthalmology, specializing in diseases and surgery of the eye. Dr. Richardson received his undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana in 2008. He then attended the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana and received his M.D. degree in 2013. He then completed an internship in internal medicine followed by his ophthalmology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, which he completed in June 2017.
Dr. Richardson gave numerous lectures, performed research on eye disease, and served as Chief Resident during his training at UMMC, all while developing a love for and desire to practice in the state of Mississippi. Dr. Richardson is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He and his wife Megan currently live in Madison, Mississippi with their four sons. When not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, athletics, and church activities.
